Niagara Rapids are pleased to announce that Tommy Sloan will be joining the Rapids coaching staff as Head Coach of the Niagara Rapids 16U Legend Team. There has been an influx of amazing new coaching talent in the Niagara region! One of those is Tommy Sloan, who is the new Niagara College Men’s coach. Coach Sloan comes from Alberta with a strong coaching resume. He was the Assistant Coach at Brandon University (2017/2018) and previous to that the Head Coach at Keyano College women’s program (2014-2017). Coach Sloan also has previous club experience, coaching with the Northern Lights Volleyball Club for 3 years. Beth Schulz, President of the Rapids, said, “It’s incredible to have such an experienced coach move into the Niagara region! His collegiate experience will raise the bar for our club girls. Tommy is an enthusiastic supporter of the club system, and recognizes the value of great training at this level. His willingness to get involved with the Rapids organization is amazing, and greatly appreciated! Coach Sloan brings not only a passion for the game, but a strong background and knowledge of the women’s game at a post-secondary level.
