Experience level: open to athletes who have played travel team volleyball
Time 9:00-12:00 noon

• Head coach of the Niagara College Knights women’s volleyball team
• 10 years of post-secondary coaching experience at both the CCAA and USports levels.
• 10 years of club coaching experience, including 5 with the Rapids.
• Keyano College (AB) alumnus (2006-2009, 2012-2013), and ACAC all-conference award winner.
• Tommy believes in a person-first coaching style that fosters a competitive and safe environment in which to push your skills to new limits.
This camp is open to all athletes who have played at least of a year of travel team volleyball and are looking to prepare for club tryouts. Step into a college-level training experience with Coach Tommy Sloan.

– TMU alumni (libero) and team captain (2010-2015).
– Trained under Dustin Reid @ TMU who was a National team Libero
– Rapids 18U Legend Head Coach (2022/2023). Top 10 finish in Ontario, top 20 finish in Canada.

  • Coaching highlights: Coaching at the Team Ontario Academy, Niagara Rapids Power team finished 5th in Ontario in division 1, tier 1 Ontario Championships, coaching beach volleyball competitive 2’s to multiple
    OVA medals.
  • Scott works with athletes to develop confidence and a love for the game while improving both technical and tactical sides of volleyball.

This camp is open to all athletes who have not played on a travel team and are looking to develop the technical aspect of their game. Lots of touches, skill instruction, high energy drills. A perfect opportunity to get ready for Niagara Rapids tryouts or High school tryouts!!

  • Coaching highlights: Eden High School Junior Coach from 1998-2006 where he won many Zone and SOSSA championships, coaching the U12 Girls Rapids Hurricanes this past year.
  • Norbert is a Brock Volleyball Alumni having played there from 1989-1992.
  • He works with athletes to develop sound fundamentals, court awareness and a willingness to play tenacious defense.
  • An appreciation for the love of the game and having competitive fun is also emphasized!

  • Bill is a very athlete-focused coach, committed to building character and resilience in his players.
  • He has been coaching with Rapids for eight years and has coached 13u all the up to 18u.
  • Coaching Highlights –highest ranking achieved-9th in Ontario at 13u, medaled in select div provincially and nationally, coached at the Las Vegas Classic at Mandalay Bay, coached 2v2 ova beach tour.
  • Bill’s philosophy – Sport is an amazing way for an athlete to learn the dynamics of working on a team at a young age. The earlier you can teach athletes to compromise and appreciate the different skills everyone brings to the table, the more successful they will be later in life.

Coach Beth Schulz

  • Beth has been coaching volleyball in the Niagara Region for over 20 years both with the Rapids Volleyball Club and 15 years at Eden High School as the junior coach for both boys and girls.
  • Her passion is to develop technically sound players while also embracing the idea that volleyball needs to be fast-paced even at the younger levels.
  • Coaching Highlights — 3rd/4th /10th in the province at OVA’s, SOSSA Championships @ Eden, coaching Rapids Legend team at 16u (64 th ) to 17u (15 th ).
  • Sport builds confidence through goal setting and achievement. Sport is an amazing place to learn that in order to succeed, there are many failed attempts. Sport teaches that achievement requires dedication, persistence and effort.
